John Charles Coleman was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. John is the oldest of eight children and a proud graduate of the Fort Myers High School Class of 1969. John graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, and obtained his juris doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in January 1976. John is a trial attorney who has handled a wide range of criminal, civil, probate and administrative matters. He and his brother Robert have practiced law in Fort Myers for the last 30 years.
John has been working with stained glass for over twenty-five years. He was introduced to stained glass by his wife Patsy, who has helped him learn many facets of the art — including windows, mosaics, and fusing. Patsy has created an “oasis of peace” from which springs inspiration, innovation, and imagination. John’s stained glass art includes windows, paintings – floral, landscape, and abstract – and a wide variety of vases.
